Here at the Old Rectory Clothing Company, the focus is on simple linen & cotton clothing which is thoughtfully & slowly made, comfortable & beautiful. All pieces are made by me in our Old Rectory down in Dorset where I live with my husband, children & chickens. Fabrics are chosen for their quality & feel & are influenced by the seasons around us. I have recently begun to experiment with botanical/natural dyes & I hope to begin to include some pieces which have been hand dyed by me using flowers, plants, fruits & vegetables in each collection. I only make a limited number of each item meaning the pieces are exclusive & many items can be worn by both boys & girls. The ethos behind everything I do is buy less and choose well as I believe that clothes should be made to last so they can be handed down and kept for years to come. All my packaging is recycled/recyclable or biodegradable & carefully chosen in order for it to have the least impact on our environment.
